What remains when the owner steps away?

A buyer is acquiring future earnings, not the seller's unpaid workload. Map the responsibilities behind the numbers and see the effect of replacing them realistically.

Live operating picture

Separate reported earnings from transferable earnings.

Map responsibilities above. If the total differs from reported hours, the tool will show the mismatch without assuming either figure is false.

Owner-dependence levelNot yet established

Map at least one responsibility to establish the current distribution.

Consistency check

Do the hours and responsibilities tell the same story?

  • Mapped work remains incomplete until roles are entered.

Key-person exposure

Which duties still travel with the seller?

  • Coverage gaps will appear here without implying misconduct.

Orders, inventory, content, paid search, analytics and AI-search visibility should not all stop when one chair is empty.

Transferable earnings

The number that remains after the operating role is covered.

Reported earnings can be commercially strong while still carrying work that is not on payroll. A buyer needs to understand whether that work moves to existing management, a documented process, an already-budgeted contractor or a new hire.

This simulator does not invent a market salary. You enter a full-time replacement-cost estimate. The tool then applies it only to responsibility hours that are not already covered in current payroll or contractor spend.

90-day transfer readiness

Turn the weakest handoffs into a practical plan.

  1. Map the hours and current coverage for each responsibility.
  2. Enter a replacement-cost estimate that fits the actual role.
  3. Prioritized next actions will appear here.

Methodology · BA-OI 1.0

Visible assumptions, with no double-counting.

01

Map the real work

Ten operating responsibility categories are compared with the owner's reported weekly hours.

02

Identify existing coverage

Work assigned to an existing team member or already-budgeted contractor is excluded from incremental replacement cost.

03

Apply the visitor's cost

The full-time replacement estimate is prorated to the uncovered workload. BrokerAccord does not fabricate a salary benchmark.

04

Keep transition separate

A one-time illustrative transition range is shown apart from the recurring annual replacement deduction.

Important: This is an initial operating-structure scenario, not adjusted EBITDA, a quality-of-earnings report, an employment-cost opinion or verification by BrokerAccord. A mismatch between reported and mapped hours is presented as an input inconsistency to review—not as a claim that the seller is misrepresenting the business.
